Auditions & Rehearsals

NWSO is an audition orchestra and we welcome all those who are interested in joining us. We are dedicated to the music we perform, as well as being an orchestra that enjoys performing together, while thrilling our audiences.

In 2007 the NWSO performed to a sold out performance with Ann and Nancy Wilson from the group Heart and Alice in Chains in a benefit for Children's Hospital. NWSO once again performed with Alice in Chains in September 2008 at the Seahawks Half Time show.

Our performance venues include the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien, Benaroya Hall Taper Auditorium, and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In addition to performing a classical repertoire, NWSO collaborate with Northwest composers providing a venue to perform, premier, and record their compositions.

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra accepts applicants based on their musical ability, without regard to gender, race, religion, disability, national origin, or sexual orientation.

Rehearsals

NWSO conducts rehearsals on Wednesday evenings, 7:15 pm to 9:45 pm on Mercer Island.
